Essential Trump/Alt-Right Ridicule Thread

The best quote is, I think:

“I just don’t understand the intensity of the hate,” said the man who drove two miles out of his way to verbally abuse a complete stranger based on the color of his skin.

Edited to add:

Nah, forget that. The best part is the state of his business' Yelp page (which I guess will soon disappear)

Sarah Sanders backs up Trump: ‘Certainly’ you use ID when buying alcohol at grocery stores

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said customers “certainly” show an ID at the grocery store when purchasing alcohol, offering cover Wednesday to President Trump who claimed the previous evening that an ID was needed when buying groceries. Trump made the comments Tuesday evening at a campaign rally in Tampa, Fla., as he described his support for enforcing stricter voter ID laws.

Put this here because Canada is not afraid of the US.

Started to read the article, first 10 paragraphs read correctly - then the paywall came into play.

In Canada’s Grocery Carts, a Boycott U.S.A. Movement Starts Rolling

Also, exports to the US are up :)

Also, there are a number of websites now available that will tell you if this is a US product and, if so, what you can replace it with.

Seen it with my own eye, lady goes to get peaches, hubby wants to know where they are from. Wife points to the Canadian flag - "Niagara" she beams. They took the peaches.

Always good to buy Canadian, but I don't think any boycott USA produce movement will last in winter, not unless we all decide to eat nothing but turnips, potatoes, and apples.

I'm definitely on board with the "No travel to the USA" aspect of it though, I got an email last week telling me I should renew my ESTA - no thanks, not going to happen until late 2020 at the earliest.

First of all - not lasting the winter is a stupid comment. Is that what happens when we all go to our igloos for the winter? Yum - whale blubber.

Second, did you know that other countries also grow food (not only turnips, apples and potatoes)?

Third - stop being a twit - you know better.

In addition to the increasing level of divisiveness and partisan hatred in the USA I was listening to this programme on Radio 4 and it made me wonder whether there'll be an actual civil war there in my lifetime.

BBC Radio 4 - Abortion in the USA

Alternativly 4000 armed people, trained willing to put life and limb on the line.
Multary suport would be needed and maybe an assassin or three.

Freudian slip there, and fair share of insensitivity tweeting this on the anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima, but hey.
