He's pretty much right about Hollywood though.

If you were to remove all the fat from Trump's lower eye bags, it could probably serve a roadside diner for the best part of a year.

Another Trump supporter, Nevada politician Michele Fiore, is going to prison

Federal prosecutors said at trial that Fiore had raised more than $70,000 for the statue of a Las Vegas police officer shot and killed in 2014 in the line of duty, but instead spent the money on plastic surgery, rent and her daughter’s wedding.

Please don’t body shame, don’t criticise someone based on their appearance. Even if they’re a terrible despicable contemptible person. Thanks.
Do you say the same to anyone who refers to his weight, his bizarre orange colour, his hair and the way he stands like a centaur?

There are numerous such references to his appearance on here so please do not single me out.

Eh?

I haven’t singled you out. I responded to your comment.
It’s a general Urban policy not to base criticism on physical appearance.

It’s a cheap shot. It adds nothing to the discussion. Physical appearance doesn’t indicate character. Many people struggle with difficult feelings around their physical appearance and reading disparaging comments on the screen may contribute to those difficulties. If we’re striving to be kind, inclusive, non-judgmental, all the other leftie stuff, let’s start with the simple stuff like, yunno, not taking the piss out of someone because of the way they look.

Having asked you once not to do it, I won’t ask again. That would be pointless, because it looks like you’d rather put up a defence than have a think about why you’ve been pulled up for something.

Not fat-shaming Trump I can see, but the orange spray-tan and fucked-up Flock of Seagulls hairdo are his choices and he deserves to be Emperor's New Clothesed about them, IMO

I actually wrote a paragraph about this stuff and then deleted it.

I agree that his fake tan and the weird bouffant comb-over are symptomatic and indicative of his puffed up vanity and his narcissism.

Pointing and saying “Ha ha he’s orange!” is different to referring to the tan within the wider context of his hubris.

I dunno.
It seems obvious to me: not being mean as a general policy.
And the difference between taking the piss out of him for his appearance, and recognising that the excessive use of fake tan is an indicator of something else.

I didn't say - or even suggest - that my comment added anything to the discussion, Neither does people calling him all the abusive (albeit merited) names that he's called on here add anything to the discussion...but it still happens. I'm just as capable of dismantling his appalling character and indeed I do so on a regular basis.

It may not be necessary to comment on his physical appearance but given his completely misplaced personal vanity and delusional sense of his own "attractiveness" and the fact that he has abused that in order to sexually intimidate women in the past, I see no reason not to point out that he looks like a sack of shite, as well as behaving like one. The concepts are not mutually exclusive.

In terms of "being kind", I don't see any particular need to be kind, inclusive or non-judgmental about such a vile, obnoxious individual or to tiptoe around the fact that he's ridiculous and grotesque physically, as well as in terms of his character and conduct. If you don't agree with me, that's entirely your prerogative. :)

I don't think you're being especially singled out, but it's no bad thing just to stop and check whether you're going after the right aspects of things.

I get where you're coming from - Trump, after all, makes a great deal about his physique - but there is the constant danger that this can become the thin end of a wedge that normalises bodyshaming across a wider spectrum.

And, let's face it, there's plenty to criticise Trump for beyond his appearance, even if it might on very many occasions mirror (or contradict) his pronouncements.
