hmm so after finding out she was not getting raptured she did the very christian thing and tried to steal her money back

seriously every sane person on the interwebz needs to start a conspiracy so that when anyone mentioned the rapture from this point on you just remark well it already happened

"turned out you were the wrong sort of christians"

enjoy the ride to hell with the rest of us

most of the american evangelicals movement would think that would be some sort of pick up truck sadly

I was sort of wondering how fundamentalist Christians in the US would react when the Rapture turned out to be not a proper Rapture at all. Here's one example

I know Americans expect tips and to tip - but is a $777 tip normal?
Surely the issue here is the woman has bipolar disorder (or less likely schizophrenia) and the tipees should have suggested a more modest tip - or rejected it altogether.
Regarding Rapture reality - seems a bit tendentious that the dispensationalists have taken over the thinking of 50 million Americans.
I wonder if the lady believed in pre or post tribulation rapture?
I found this article helpful (and brief) The Rapture | Belief, Definition, & Predictions.

I read the original post where she'd tipped them and they did try to refuse it because they'd decided she was delusional but she insisted.

She drove off in a Merc they say so she could presumably afford it. She was also asking whether they were Christians and trying to convert them so I don't have too much sympathy tbh.

It's all an elaborate double-act

Mr Blanche [Trump lawyer] had complained earlier this week that the man that he believed the former investigator Mr Rosenberg had displayed a “flippant and dismissive approach” to his subpoena “despite ample experience with the criminal justice system that should have instilled in him respect for this process and a criminal defendant’s rights”.

But in fact, Mr Trump’s lawyers had simply served court papers on the wrong man, prosecutor Matthew Colangelo wrote.

They sent the bloke $15 to send them documents and he replied saying he was keeping the money.

A New York appeals court on Wednesday rejected, for the third straight day, a last-ditch attempt by Donald Trump’s lawyers to delay his hush money trial.

The case is due to be tried on Monday in the first ever criminal trial of a former US president.
