When the world came apart, where were you?
I blame Ginsberg's desire to retain her position partly for the repeal of Roe v. Wade.
That.

That's Dianne Feinstein, who's 90 - she came back to the Senate a few months ago but has seemed even more confused than she was before
Sen. Dianne Feinstein told to 'just say aye' in awkward Senate committee moment
Feinstein, 90, began delivering a speech in support of a bill during a vote Thursday, instead of the expected response of "aye" or "nay."www.nbcnews.com
While she's voting on government legislation, her daughter has been given power of attorney over her dealings in other matters, including a dispute over her late husband's will
possibly not - it was the alt right part of it that I felt relevant
Fucking hell. How can you do your job as a senator when you you've been legally judged to be too incompetent to even run your own finances?
Yeh perhaps not. Just struck me as somewhat extreme gun-nut stance teaching a 4 year old about gun safety - particularly by pointing a gun at her and pulling the trigger.
Is that the main reason, or is it fear of losing the seat to a Republican that makes them keep people in post way past when they should have quit?...And, therein lies the problem with the Democratic Party. They aren't willing to give over the reins to a younger generation.
Tbf, iirc Ginsberg would have had to retire during the Obama supermajority of 08-10 for there to have been no chance of McConnell's fuckery keeping the spot empty until a Republican assumed office...I blame Ginsberg's desire to retain her position partly for the repeal of Roe v. “Gun nut” rather than “alt right”, no?
“But...but...but I was just working through some difficult feeeeeliiiiings at the time”
Biggs said in a tearful statement to the judge that he was not a leader but one of the “seduced.”
“I know that I messed up that day, but I’m not a terrorist,” Biggs said. “My curiosity got the better of me, and I’ll have to live with that for the rest of my life.” He said he had been planning for Jan. 6 to be his last outing with the Proud Boys, and that his violent statements were a way to vent his anger over being injured in combat and learning that a young family member had been abused. “I used that rhetoric … to cope and to not take violent action,” he said.
Yes all right - I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition

This multimedia one from the PB-in-a-jam trial is a nice primer:Very interesting WaPo article, thanks for posting.
Trump himself envisioned a social media company that, he said, would “stand up to the tyranny of big tech”.
But there have been signs recently that even Trump maybe tiring of his own social-media play. There are estimated to be about 2 million users of Truth Social – tiny compared with Facebook’s 2.9 billion, YouTube’s 2.5 billion, WhatsApp’s 2 billion, Instagram’s 2 billion, and X, formerly Twitter, which counts about 541 million users.
