Essential Trump/Alt-Right Ridicule Thread

but it's the kind of victimological lie the rightwing has perfected and it boils my blood.

"Biden": it's Smith (who is serving during the Biden administration, so let's impute).
"imprisoned": he's not (yet, but "Biden" "wants to").
"Epstein's clients": carefully phrased to excude Maxwell (his co-worker, I guess), who's been actually imprisoned (by "Biden"!) for a year now.

everyone here knows all this but oh my fucking god :snarl:😡

Is it "scary", though?

It's what age does to us. Even (ugh) Republicans who seem like they're pretending to be immortals.

Can you not see how it could be scary for him or his family? I'm not sure the tweeter was referring to the perspective of a bunch of lefties on a UK web forum when they made that comment...

Of course it's frightening for him and family.

Scary just seems a bit cartoonish here. Whether it's meant or not.

Not sure an illness should be up for ridicule.

I read somewhere (the Beeb, I think) where the average age of Senators is 65, so he's hardly going to be the last. There's also a Dem currently absent from the Senate due to 'shingles' - she been away since November last year.

It seems odd that they can't be forced from officer on health grounds. Or can they?

That's Dianne Feinstein, who's 90 - she came back to the Senate a few months ago but has seemed even more confused than she was before

While she's voting on government legislation, her daughter has been given power of attorney over her dealings in other matters, including a dispute over her late husband's will

Thanks.

I feel bad for her. Its elder abuse to drag elderly people about to make them serve your agenda. She should have been replaced a couple of years ago. And, therein lies the problem with the Democratic Party. They aren't willing to give over the reins to a younger generation. You see a lack of people who really could walk in and take charge because they've not been taken under the wings of their elders and prepared to assume power.

I blame Ginsberg's desire to retain her position partly for the repeal of Roe v. Wade. If she had relinquished her position to a younger justice when she had the chance, they wouldn't have had the votes.
