DPRK vs Portugal

frogwoman

No amount of cajolery...
A bit early to post this I know, but predictions ?? I reckon there may be another shock coming on judging by Portugal's dire performance the other day ...

Come on, make the dear leader proud ... :D

Portugal will probably squeeze a goal, maybe two, in another completely souless performance led by that prancing twat. The key is how slow Paulo Ferreira will be tomorrow. I can see NK surprising the defense with a late goal.

1966- the DPRK got three in the first half only to concede 5 from Portugal in the second half..and that was effectively a Euesibio sole performance

I dont think Portugal are anyhwere near that quality now

Cmon the DPRK!

The best drinking game for this World Cup is to down summat when a footballer falls over clutching some portion of his anatomy when someone casts a shadow on him. Trying it for that match woud see you utterly plastered by half time.

Looking forward to seeing the Koreans running round like an advert for Duracell again, I must say. Fingers crossed that they take Portugal to the cleaners.

Why NK are allowed to participate is a bit of a mystery to me. Zimbabwe can't do cricket since Mugabe went ultra pear-shaped, but obviously FIFA and everyone else don't mind glorifying the great leader and sending the players home to labour camps when the loose.

You're mental.

We will draw, the chances of anything better seems unlikely given recent performance.

Come on KOREA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they want to get some right tasty fouls in on ronaldo imo, proper go for the injury early on. excessive force by the defenders just to wear portugal down will be the order of the day.

listen to portuguese people talk to each other for just a few minutes and you'll know what i'm talking about. every other bleedin words ends in 'ao' which sounds like 'ow'. try listening to this for a minute, that is if you are able to tolerate even 60 seconds of their detestable vowels.

:hmm:

Portugal is playing slightly better, although as predicted, the defense is patchy.

I'd take out Simão and put Duda closing the left side and take out Pedro Mendes. Too many fouls, already a yellow card. Also, put a locker in Miguel's place. Or Paulo Ferreira. Both are so shit right now, it wouldn't make a difference.
One more goal, and it sounds like a victory.

as far as i know israel, belarus, etc, aren't disqualified from playing in the world cup or the european championships. all sorts of nasty regimes play in the world cup, ivory coast has hardly been much better in the last few years with its fascist style goose stepping anti-muslim "youth movement" a few years back

there's an argument that including a team like north korea in the world cup will enable it to be more of a part of the world community and to open up a bit more in terms of the freedom of the press etc ...

anyway its just football innit? :hmm:

Everyone got quite outraged when cricketers broke the sporting boycott of South Africa a few years back, and I imagine they wouldn't be too happy if Bono did a concert in Pyong Yang at the invitation of Kim Jong Il.

I don't see how football is any different TBH

They're not exactly opening much at their press conferences though are they? :D

Fuck it. Portugal have scored again.
