Brazil - Portugal / Ivory Coast - North Korea

OK. Got me there. Let me fix that: the vuvuzela will be the legacy of this world cup. Everything else is business as usual...;)
With France and Italy going out and some of the individual results I'm not sure about business as usual, but I'd agree about the vuvuzelas.

At this rate the legacy of this World cup will be rubbish games, like this one!!

Again, not sure I'd agree there - there have certainly been some dud ones but there have been some really good ones too.

I nearly fell asleep during that one.

As neither team needed to win, why so many fouls and yellow cards?

Dunga blames Portuguese:

"The Portuguese team defended from midfield backwards," he stated.

"It made it difficult to penetrate their defence. We nevertheless had three or four goal-scoring opportunities."

"Kaka and Elano are exceptional players," the Brazil boss reflected. "But the way in which Portugal played, it would have made it difficult for Kaka and Elano to help us more."

"We know both teams had a lot of will to win and went in with a lot of determination and so it happens, one or more severe tackles.

"I think our team tried to play a little more. We knew it would be like that as both teams were qualified."

Deluded: Brazil camp in their box and play counter attack. It's not Portugal's fault if they aren't dumb enough to overcomit and get battered.

Dunga can't exactly talk. Having Felipe Melo and Gilberto Silva anchoring the midfield, doing extremely similar jobs means that his teams are very stodgy too.

The North Korean team were told by their managers: "If you win you will meet Kim Jong-il. if you lose you will meet Kim Il-sung"

But its more likely they will go from this:

Who's that nutty English chap who goes to North Korea's away games? They spoke to him on C4 news. Is he a mad Stalinist committed to the cause of Juche, or just a weirdo?

I wonder if Korean coal mines are any safer than Chinese ones? :(
