Donald Trump, the road that might not lead to the White House!

...the content of the story ( and any associated e-mails ) is probably irrelevant - short of her arranging a hit-job on someone - than the simple fact the papers will now spend 3 days writing headlines that revive the Clinton = dodgy meme whilst crowding-out any more stuff about Trump...

Whiter, older, better off people it seems. The median household income for Trump voters in the Republican primaries was $72,000.

GOP primary voters tend to be a lot richer than general election voters. Seems like the nature of Trump supporters varies a lot by region - white working-class voters are more likely be Trump supporters in states like Alabama or Tennessee - states where the union movement isn't particularly strong - than in states like Michigan or Wisconsin.

The question: does the Democratic camp have one more ticking time bomb to explode on the Trump campaign in the final days before the election?
Doesn't trump have his own self harm grenades with the pins pulled ?

The alleged child rape case with a new witness..... and the 3 outstanding alleged student rinsing court cases over his fake university....all kick off in court before inauguration....

I think she will still win, but the hearings and impeachment proceedings will begin from basically day one. What an awful, awful candidate. Difficult to imagine a worse one on that side of the aisle.

BTW, to refresh a previous theme on the subject of articles which paint critics of HRC as sexist (or racist), from the new batch of leaks

WikiLeaks - The Podesta Emails

when bloomberg was having problems w the times he called Arthur schulzburger and asked for coffee. He made the case that they were treating him like a billionaire dilettante instead of Third term mayor. It changed the coverage moderately but also aired the issues in the newsroom so people were more conscious of it. But Arthur is a pretty big wuss so he's not going to do a lot more than that. Hillary would have to be the one to call. He also thinks the brown and women pundits can shame the times and others on social media. So cultivating Joan Walsh, Yglesias, Allen, perry bacon, Greg Sargent, to defend her is helpful. They can be emboldened. Fwiw - I pushed pir to do this a yr ago.

Maybe these new allegations will tip the scale, and you'll get your wish: a Trump presidency.

Just curious, are you suggesting that I subconsciously want a Trump presidency or have you managed to miss the seven times or so that I have explicitly said that I would vote for Hillary Clinton if I lived in the USA in a swing state?

Yes, I was joking, his speeches are vile and when he speaks I feel genuinely scared about his all too real prospect of winning the presidency which also makes me feel angry that the Democrats have chosen the only candidate that could actually lose to him.

I just thought that after saying four times on this thread that I hope that Clinton beats Trump, and that if I were an American I would vote for Clinton in a swing state that we could move past that point and have an adult discussion about the respective candidates but obviously not, I have to repeat it for a fifth time. At first I thought I wasn't being clear enough about what I thought but I don't think that anymore, I think that several posters are absolutely incapable of seeing anything critical of Hillary Clinton without implying that the person saying it is a supporter of Donald Trump.
Yes, I agree. I favour a Clinton presidency over Trump, if I was American and lived in a swing state I would vote for her.
This is probably the fifth time that I have written this on the thread. I would vote for Clinton in a swing state, I would not vote if I was in a safe red or blue state.

The reason I spend so much time attacking Clinton on here is because there are actually people on here who defend her. With Trump there isn't really anything to discuss or defend, he is such a disgusting figure running on such a vile platform that there is little to talk about or consider in regards to him imo.

I've missed you saying that you'd vote for Hillary. In that case, I take it back.

One thing I'd do different from you if I was American, though: I'd vote for Hillary, no matter what the polls showed about the state.

As we've seen from Brexit and so many other situations, polls are pretty much worthless. Imo nothing is certain in this election, and anyone with a mind to vote for Hillary should go out and do just that.

Christ, I know this is mind-blowingly nit-picking but the constant references to 'Hillary' are getting on my last fucking nerve. Clinton - she isn't your fucking pal, cousin or next door neighbour - this first name business for women is just patronising and demeaning...and in Clinton's case, actually seems to make this callous opportunist appear just like someone you might know and recognise. The marketing trick of imaginary familiarity and even intimacy has the same annoying effect of playing down Clinton's authority as commenting on her pantsuits and hairstyles. I am not aware of Angela Merkel being routinely referred to as 'Angela'...and in Clinton's case, it seems to counter the threat of hawkish retribution and power grabbing. If only Chelsea Clinton had managed to produce offspring, we would have been entertained with grandmotherly tropes and fucking cupcakes.

Calm down dear:)
Seems it's an American 'thing' you don't want to go anywhere near any forums that discuss Tesla products, cars, battery's etc, seems every contributor is on first name terms with 'Elon Musk'
Mind you, while I agree with you, regarding 'Madam secretary' she, despite her manifest faults, is the safest choice.
The misyoginist heidthiball alternative is in another dimension:)

I don't think the latest emails are going to amount to much - it's obviously not good PR for the FBI to have found State Department emails from Clinton on the same laptop as Anthony Weiner's chats with underage girls and 5GB collection of crotch selfies, but it's not as if they're going to uncover evidence that she conspired with al-Qaeda and the Rothschilds to murder Americans in Benghazi.

I think the Clinton campaign will be happy to let the email thing play itself out for a few days, then they'll wait til Wednesday or Thursday to unveil their recordings of Donald Trump using racial slurs against every minority group in America, offering a 17-year-old Miss Teen America money for sex, and describing the people of Florida as brain-damaged swamp creatures.

One of Trump's latest releases: "Ein Volk, Ein Flagge, Ein Fuhrer."

What does he even mean by "One American Flag" - does he think it's the 1770s and he's going to choose one American flag out of multiple competing designs, or he is he planning to erect one gigantic American flag in the middle of the country that everybody will have to salute every morning?

Part of me kind of likes the idea of America being the laughing stock of the world, it does have some appeal. Imagine trying to project power with someone as ridiculous as Trump as the helmsman. A weaker America is no bad thing.
