Should be the entry in Brewer's Phrase and Fable under "People will see what they want to see".

This is going to be a great month for T-Shirt companies.
I bet it was like in those old black and white court films when all the court reporters run to the phone booths when the verdict is released.
Never seen it

Was just about to post the same, ridiculous.for all the right anti woke "you cannot self identify as this and that"
this prick self identifies as 6.3 and 215 pounds
no way the gobshite is 97 kg
Oh my God, he totally did.I bet he spent ages practicing his mugshot expression
My phrasing was clumsy. I didn’t mean that 50 million were willing to follow him into war. I just meant that there are a good 50 million who are in very strong, emotionally profound agreement with his rhetoric (regardless of whether or not Trump lives up to that rhetoric). You can’t wish away those 50 million people (or however many it is). They don’t disappear when Donnie goes darko. Unless you engage with that massive group of people, they’ll be there, waiting for the next proto-fascist ideologue to speak to them in a way that resonates. And maybe that one will be better at it.50 million in violent agreement sounds on the high side, that's more than two-thirds of the people who voted for him in 2020 - when he urged supporters to come to DC to "Stop the Steal" on Jan. 6, 2021, maybe 100,000 showed up from across the country, a fraction of them walked to the Capitol. Maybe 2,000 of those entered the building and a lot of the most violent rioters are now in jail.
At the recent indictment, the pro-Trump crowds have been small and peaceful - there might be a lot of people engaging in violent rhetoric and possibly a larger number than usual of losers joining militias and parading around the woods, but I don't think there's that many people still willing to go to jail for Trump.
You've got to see it. And Top Secret with Val Kilmer.Never seen it
I've got it on dvd somewhere but will see if I can find it online to watch again at some point.Never seen it
I spent years seeing various clips, finally watched it last year. It's really fucking funny all the way through.Never seen it
"The Kubrick stare", apparentlyOh my God, he totally did.
when Donnie goes darko
Really?, to me its extremely flattering. Compare it to most less entitled perp's mugshots and even impromptu shots or the orange twat himself and its obviously been very carefully shot to make the cunt look almost human (miserably failing in that of course)Well, I'm a bit disappointed in that mugshot. To hear Sarah Smith describe it on the radio I imagined it to be more dignified somehow, but the camera angle really diminishes him. Can't imagine anyone other than a real diehard seeing it and thinking 'Wow, that man must be a hero!'
I know that scowl is supposed to be macho and threatening, but it looks like the face of a schoolboy who's being sent to detention.
"The Kubrick stare", apparently
Rust.It reminded me of Zoolander's "Blue Steel" look, but more "Orange steel."
