He does have his moments of lucidity

shame about his worshippers :(

Eta: and confirmation

Amid high temperatures at Donald Trump's campaign rally in Las Vegas on Sunday, the former president made a quip about the heat affecting his attendees by stating that he needed their votes, adding, "I don't care about you."

Trump and President Joe Biden became the presumptive 2024 Republican and Democratic presidential nominees respectively in March as both continue to campaign ahead of November's election. On Sunday, the former president took to the stage at his Sunset Park outdoor rally to speak to his supporters.

However, temperatures began to rise with a forecast of over 100 degrees during the event. At his rally, Trump spoke about the heat affecting his attendees as he made a joke about needing their votes.

"By the way, isn't the breeze nice. Do you feel the breeze? I don't want anybody going on me. We need every voter. I don't care about you. I just want your vote. I don't care." His supporters laughed as he then said, "See now, the press will take that, and they'll say, 'He said a horrible thing.'"

Reckon Trump could even more openly display his contempt for his followers, and they'd still fall over themselves for him. What a fucking cult. Really hope that sprayed-orange clown doesn't get elected. The US is in a bad enough way as it is.
It was just bantz!

Crucifixion would be a bit harsh though, even for Trump.

Eta: although it would be good to start a rumour by Q that it's fore-ordained and that one of his worshippers should listen to the call.

MTG is a fucking lunatic, but the comparison isn't that far fetched. Both of the men she's referring to spouted a load of unsubstantiated bollocks and got millions to believe them, refusing to countenance a word against them.

Christ didn't - most of the Gospels is him actually doing miracles in front of people and his fame spreading as the result. The millions of believers from evangelization came later.

It is an absurd comparison though, especially for a Christian to make. I cannot think of anything that Christ was reported to have done that Trump would do, or more correctly would loudly oppose doing.

thank you. that charlatan was cited by my ex-m-i-l during my divorce. i won't go into the details for i must constrain myself.

People like Dr. Phil are a problem in themself, but they're also a symptom of our larger issues. No one should have to offer themself up to be part of his sideshow in order to get access to drug or mental health treatment. The fact that these shows exist demonstrates what a horrific medical system we have. Rehab can cost tens of thousands of dollars, the waiting lists are often long, and some of the treatment centers are exploitative and abusive as well. It also shows how awful some people have become when they derive entertainment from the suffering of others.

I've often wondered about doing a series of 'who said what?' comparison quotes from Jesus and Trump I'm sure they'd be indistinguishable.

"I love getting even."

"How many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy times seven times."

impossible to tell the difference, i challenge anybody.
