And since when did Menie Hoose become Menie Park Lodge? :D

Looks like the stooges are warming-up in advance of the release of Anthony Baxter's next film, which will apparently challenge Trump's economic claims more closely.

They seem to be punting the line that Trump never claimed half of what he did about the scheme - notably that he never claimed he would replace the oil industry or would employ six/seven thousand people all-in.

That's plans lodged for a new, scaled down clubhouse to replace the temporary structure:

For inspiration, they seem to have chosen a very standard Board of Education school from the late nineteenth/early twentieth century - Uninspired is not quite the word for it.

I wonder if Trump has a thing for the smell of stale sweat, oiled hardwood and bad plumbing that is so typical of these places?

How interesting - no less than four DC Thomson jurnos identified in the audience - that's a good turnout from titles with a stated policy of not reporting on anything against Trump.

He was also claiming that nothing will stop him from building the second course last week - in a big bit of puff in the P&J, published around the same time the course opened for the season.

Trump has lost his appeal!

BILLIONAIRE Donald Trump has lost his legal challenge to an offshore wind farm which he claims is ruining his exclusive golf resort in the north of Scotland.

The 68-year-old businessman wanted judges at the Court of Session to judicially review the Scottish Ministers decision to allow the Aberdeen Bay development to go ahead.

Lawyers for the property developer argued that the government’s decision was illegal.

But on Friday, Scotland’s most senior judge, Lord Gill, ruled that an earlier decision made by his colleague Lord Doherty to not grant the judicial review was legal.

Quite possibly - I don't doubt this will inspire his biggest toys-out-the-pram episode since the original refusal.

He's tub thumping the racist drum quite furiously in the states this past while as part of his election campaign . Soccer players , including Stephen Gerard have been ordered by their clubs to withdraw from his golf tournament . Some absolutely despicable commentary from trump . A few other businesses have severed their links with his firms in disgust .

He's been fired from that Apprentice show . A number of Latino performers have withdrawn from his miss USA pageant , Mexico have withdrawn from miss universe . Tv networks refusing to show it...a load of stuff like that .

Of course he's gone way up in the polls too .

So what happened to the "economic boom" and "thousands", no "hundreds" of jobs created by his course:

DONALD Trump’s Scottish golf courses lost more than £2 million last year, new figures have revealed.

Accounts for the tycoon’s resorts at the Menie Estate in Aberdeenshire and Turnberry in Ayrshire show they both made losses.

The US presidential candidate opened the Trump International Golf Links in 2012 following a battle with environmental campaigners opposed to the construction of a course on protected sand dunes.

He hailed the course as the greatest in the world and pledged to create 800 jobs at the resort.

However, company accounts just published for 2014 show that it lost money for the third year in a row since Trump struck the first ball at the course.

It made a loss of £1,139,513 last year compared to losses of £1.8 million in 2013 and £1.7 million in 2012.

The course, which is valued at £30 million, increased its turnover to £2.8 million during the year - a jump of £500,000 from the previous 12 months.

The business employed just 95 people during its third year of operations who were paid a total of £1.9 million.

No wonder they are plugging the cheap Christmas Dinner offers hard this year!

Thats "flourishing" apparently. "“Does anyone care what this man thinks? He’s a has-been and totally irrelevant. The fact that he doesn’t even know what’s going on in his own constituency says it all. We have a permanent clubhouse and the business is flourishing. He should go back to doing what he does best – unveiling pompous portraits of himself that pander to his already over-inflated ego.” - Trump's response to being called a three times loser by Salmond after he lost his appeal

Looks like Trump may want his day in the European Court as well.

Donald Trump last night instructed his lawyers to take his fight against an offshore windfarm to the European Court of Justice.

The Supreme Court in London – the highest court in the land – yesterday announced it had rejected the US businessman’s appeal against the Scottish Government’s approval of the 11-turbine project at Aberdeen Bay.

Vattenfall and Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG), partners of Aberdeen Offshore Wind Farm Ltd (AOWFL), welcomed the decision and reaffirmed their commitment to the project – with campaigners also hailing the victory for renewable energy.

<snip>

George Sorial, the company’s executive vice president, said the outcome demonstrated the “foolish, small-minded and parochial mentality” dominating the SNP Government’s “dangerous experiment with wind energy”.

He also warned the £230million European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (EOWDC) would cast a “terrible shadow” upon the future of tourism in the north-east.

And last night he revealed the Trump Organisation’s lawyers had been instructed to proceed with a legal challenge to the European courts.

And to think, Trump was so insistent that everyone else shut-up and let him get-on with it the very first time things went in his favour!
