Donald Trump got turned down!!!!!!!!!

"Defeated Donald Trump turns his back on Scotland"

Headline in Scotsman.

I'd like to believe it but he's cried wolf so many times before, I cannot quite bring myself to believe it.

And talks a bit more about it here:

Along with the insight that windfarms are a tragedy equivalent to the Lockerbie bombing

"“Wind farms are a disaster for Scotland, like Pan Am 103 [the 1988 bombing of a US bound flight]. They make people sick with the continuous noise. They’re an abomination and are only sustained with government subsidy"

Lord knows - A bit more digging around reveals no less than three plans for windfarms in a slightly wider area - its a magnificent bit of coast, very exposed and windy!

Remember, you heard it here first:

US TYCOON Donald Trump could find himself again plagued by a wind farm near one of his signature golf courses – but this time in Ireland rather than Aberdeenshire.
Just days after announcing his £12.4 million investment in a County Clare centre instead of a second course in Aberdeenshire, it emerged that a plan for nine wind turbines two miles south of Mr Trump’s newly acquired resort in the town of Doonbeg will be considered by the Irish local authority in the coming weeks.

:D :D :D

Seems that Trump has added a new string to his multitudinous achievements:

“Depending on the study, we may leave it and enhance it or go for an entirely new course. It’s a shame because the microscopic snail is found all over the world. When they did that, they though it was endemic to that site but it is found all over the world.
“We are not talking about an endangered species. And they were restricted from building a great course because of that.”
Asked if he feared conflict with ecologists or environmentalists, he said: “If the environmentalists kick up, I am not concerned. If we build one of the great courses of the world, that’s a great thing for Ireland and great thing for tourism.

And what did I say!

American property tycoon Donald Trump is negotiating the final details of a deal to buy Turnberry golf resort, BBC Scotland has learned.
The South Ayrshire course is owned by Leisurecorp, based in Dubai, and operated by Starwood Hotels

Might be sooner than you think - Marine Scotland has just allocated an area of over a hundred square miles for offshore wind development - starting just three or four miles away from Turnberry.

Appoplexy in Trump Towers tonight? :D

Golf is-and should be left to be, a fun pastime-there is room in Scotland,as is there everywhere else on the planet, for some golf courses, clubhouses for real afficionados etc. In all this trumped up bollocks Trump and Salmond have demonstrated that neither of them have a clue about the sensibility of scottish folk(or people in general)Yeah-if the Taits were left to land unlimitedly-we would all be fucked in that scenario-big is not good anywhere-and we dont need religion or hairpieces to keep us in line
