My point is, to treat a Black Labour MP, Diane Abbot with kid gloves but to come down like a tonne of bricks against against a White Conservative MP - Andrew Brigden with mass walkouts every time he speaks, is counter productive.

I wish woke people and polticial parties (Labour and to a lesser extent the Lib Dems) would stop treating Black people as if they are somehow mentally retarded. Courts only do that with kids, the mentally challenged and the senile.

But is not to just chucked aside. Looking at the context of this countries history of imperialism and Id say White Supremacy is a big part of that history. Used to justify Empire over its long life. Most White people I know want the opposite, and spend hours and days trying to make themselves darker in the sunshine. Some even apply lotions to pretend they're darker than they are. I have no idea why so many pale people want to look darker and I wonder if it's similar to why so many dark people want to look paler? And how this relates to hierarchies of racism, if at all.

Simplistically and historically, White people’s tans became fashionable when it became associated with wealth and leisure time, whilst attempts by Black people to appear lighter would be directly linked to racism and colourism.
