Great frock mooseThis fab sparkly frock for the NYE wedding in Sweden I'm going to. It's flattering and gorgeous, and gives me an excellent excuse to buy green jewellery, but drops glitter FUCKING EVERYWHERE.

Ilkley charity shops came up good yesterday. Amongst other things I got this The Bridge leather shoulder bag for £9.99
I've polished the leather, now for the brass logo

Is there any shaping, or is it totally t-shirt-shape?This, which essentially a big comfy velvet t-shirt, and just needs chucking on with some loud jewellery and big boots. It's a lot longer on me, obvs.

I've just ordered it.Simply Be It's actually wrap-fronted but you can't see that in the pic. Just hope some glitter stays on to wear it more than once
It is pretty much t-shirt shape, but because of the neck, it's more flattering. Having said that, the neck is very low, so I'm going to be fiddling - probably putting pleat in the back which will make it more swingy. Not sure it would be your thing - I don't have your lovely nipped-in waist! Is there any shaping, or is it totally t-shirt-shape?
As long as you're not going to the Grand Hotel in Lund on NYE in your green sparkly dress and Orla Kiely shoes #twinsI've just ordered it.
Plus my daughter's got her discount card for Clarkes so I'm getting some Orla Kiely shoes with 75% off.
Hopefully that will be Christmas and new year sorted then.
right - this have been siren-songing to me since you posted it. What's the fit like? Are the sleeves capacious?Simply Be It's actually wrap-fronted but you can't see that in the pic. Just hope some glitter stays on to wear it more than once
It would accommodate bosoms larger than mine because of the wrap, and it's quite short waisted. There's a deep ruched band round the waist but it's not tight by any means. Just below knee on me (5'4"ish) I am by no means small of arm, but the sleeves aren't clingy. There's about 2 inches of room before the fabric needs to stretch on me, and it's very stretchy. I think it would look great on you. And you could float around in a haze of glitter in every room of your house for ever more.right - this have been siren-songing to me since you posted it. Ha! No such luck! I've got my new shoes, omg, they're lovely. I just need to be able to walk and they'll be aces.As long as you're not going to the Grand Hotel in Lund on NYE in your green sparkly dress and Orla Kiely shoes #twins
I bought this for my upcoming 40th, but not sure I'll keep it:
It is lovely, beautifully made, but unlined and doesn't fit quite right around the arms/shoulders. Plus it costs my whole outfit budget. Thinking I'd rather use £200 to buy a dress (or two), new shoes and new bag.
Yep, this. My rule for spending big bucks on clothes (and heaven knows i have ) is that it absolutely *has* to make you jump about and dance and grin like a loon in the changing room from the moment you try it on. No having to strike a pose or catch an angle or hold anything in for it to look ace. You have to want to wear it always. I think you can do better May Kasahara. If it doesn't fit, take it back! (I am ruthless about this.) Specially if it's expensive.
moose where is the velvet t shirt dress from please? You're spawning an army of mini mooses
I love ASOS because they're fairly cheap, you can get a lot of other brand's clothing with them and if you pay a tenner you get a years next day delivery. The next day service is pretty good, you get a text with an hours slot and can rearrange by text.Oh people help me. I've shed some post baby weight and have treated myself to cigarette cut jeans. Love them, love the fit, but what the fuck do I wear with them?
I'm having major wardrobe trauma, I have three tops to my name, all summer, all trashed and bobbly and desperately need changing but I'm struggling to find anything I like at all on the high street. Thanks to this thread I've been reminded of simplybe, but where else should I try and what am I looking for?
Bloody clothes.
