Commie Bastards have one more success in Nepal!

as the Nepalese struggle has been going on over thirty years, I'm sorry you have failed to notice it at all fanta.

Tho it doesn't surprise me given your consistent backing for reactionaries.

Do your own research you lazy prat.

Yeah, as I thought, belboid believes everything he reads in the papers.

Oh well, he isn't the only one...

Sorry. said:
that would be the resolutely pro-maoist papers then

We don't know!

For some odd reason, belboid seems reluctant to post up any of the articles he has studied on the subject.

Very, very strange.

& the INSN is a resolutely liberal body, it even includes stuff from the bloody monarchists!

still, lets not let tedious things like 'facts' get in the way.

btw, I am reluctant to let a tedious, reactionary, waste of space like you fuck around. You have no interest in the topic of the thread, you just want to pose as the real hard man when everyone knows you're just a preening tosser.

yawn.
I've had plenty of time to ggogle whatever I'd need even if I hadn't read anything already (mostly on the bbc & in the guardian/independent, fyi).

But I'm not going to get into a charade with you, as you dont give a flying fuck about the situation in Nepal and are just showboating. You haven't even specified what it is I'm meant to be proving to you, so any attempt to do so would just mbe met by a whine of 'nnyyaahh, but that's not what I meant'.

Now go away and play with layabout, you two suit each other.

WAR!

What is it good for?

Posting keyboard-warrior threads full of bullshit about a situation you know fuck all about safely out of any actual harm's way in front of your PC like a brave little soldier...

...say it again...
why do you assume DUAF knows nothing about the Nepalese civil war?
I support the rebels, merely because they are the least awful, least reactionary option. Why is that so wrong?

Why anyone should take sides in such a conflict is beyond me.
errr....because they are the only two sides who are actually in this conflict?
I'm really sorry to break this to you, but Bambi ain't gonna be the next president/king/gen. sec. of Nepal.
Get real.

:D

only cos deer aren't native to Nepal tho, I hear there's a mongoose in the running tho.

yeah, and what Red Jezza and others are saying is that the Maoists, flawed as they are, are the preferred victors in the civil war because they are 'less bastardly' than the Monarchy.

the neplanse gov don't seem like there up for a good gov award anytime soon.
But maoists from a peasants viewpoint is there much of a diffrence :(

Well we can't exactly know - but the majority of guerrilla fighters are peasants with plenty of women peasants.

CPNM leader Prachanda is university-educated from a Brahmin caste family with hired labourers.

Interestingly, daughter of Congress leader (Social Democratic kind of like Indian Congrees) MP called on the rest of the 'left' to unite to refuse a return to parliament so that the Monarchy could be overthrown once and for
all.

Even some of the liberals perhaps are starting to "tilt to one side" of CPNM rather than the Monarchy/Army.

I'm surprised If I've ever said that on this particular thread, but that would be the general tenor of my argument, yes.
There is - tragically - no option 3.
This is gonna get very bloody, and very nasty, very quickly....

I'd argue that the fact that the majority of the maoist movement - not their leaders, I grant you - comes from the peasantry, could possibly make a bit of a difference.....

lots of humans were dying anyway under the reactionary regime of the Nepalese monarchy. Pretending they weren't, and/or attacking what is, sadly, the only effective opposition to that reactionary state, as you and fanta are doing, only goes to help the monarchy. hope you're happy with that.

How does anything posted here actually help anyone though?
I doubt the Nepalese monarchy are sitting there thinking "Great at last we have help on Urban75"...

I grant you that the amount that netgeeks on a BB can do to change things over there is minimal...but this is a political discussion board (the forum title's a bit of a giveaway), which does mean that somewhere along the line, you generally tend to express opinions and beliefs; you decide what your views are.
That's kinda the point.

Well if it's kinda the point why are dismissals of opinion without discussion kinda allowed?
