Also when you compare the PRICE for getting about on the tube .. it really sticks in the throat when you can compare it to other places. Hell even Prague with its system has better access and that was built during cold war times.
Yes I know the tube is mostly a Victorian built system but surely it would take time but a small functional lift even if only to be used on request for buggies and wheelchair users is not beyond the building technology of the 21st Century to retro fit into the tube system.

As I made clear to Bungle on another thread, Berlin managed to retrofit lifts even on their deep U-Bahn stations and their most complicated interchange stations, and around 90% of their S-Bahn stations that were previously step access had lifts by the mid-'90s. What's lacking in London (and in the UK as a whole) is the political will to invest. No-one (except Ken Livingstone, who had a bit of long-term vision) wants to take the risk of a project that'd take 8-10 years minimum in London alone, and cost several billion, even though the dividend could well be much more.

I've been a member for 11 years, and I think you're an utter cunt Urban would be well shot of. I've been cunted off far worse than anything you've had thrown at you, so have loads of other posters (male and female), but guess what? Most of us have enough character to soak it up and give worse back. You though, all you do is whine about how unfair everybody is to you, not a fucking ounce of thought given to why people might think you're a whiny no-mark cunt.
