On this thread I've had so much personal abuse thrown at me, often by Jeff which goes beyond name calling to my career and even my existence. It's been made perfectly clear that Jeff thinks I'm subhuman.

Yes I agree I lost the argument - you and LBJ got me trounced on that one. I used to think that forcibly impregnating cows and stealing their babies so humans can be unweened from breast milk their whole lives was vile and wrong but now, thanks to you guys, I think its awesome! After all, with arguments like "standing heat!!11!" and a "a mouse may have died under a combine harvester" how could I possibly maintain my prior position?

The reason that you maintain your current position is because you aren't interested in reading the reams of scientific papers that I've linked to here, nor are you interested in discussing the topic at hand, which was agriculture and the environment.

You have no interest in learning anything about reproductive biology or the realities of cropping/feeding people.

All you are interested in is writing the same things over and over on this thread to distract from the topic at hand and to evengalise.

This is why - as I stated earlier that I am glad that Veganism is now a protected characteristic like the other religions, because this is exactly how it works for you. You have an unwavering faith in a belief system and you consider all those who do not conform to your beliefs and are unwilling to convert are untermensch.

His vile abuse is totally justified.
We can't be having all those aggressive vegans going around peddling their religious nonsense on the poor unsuspecting 95% of "normal" people who actively support the benevolent abuse of animals.
I can understand his frothing rage. I too was chased around a number of threads, at least one completely unrelated, and reprimanded to within an inch of my life by said gentleman, and I thoroughly deserved it.
My solution to this dire predicament was to depress the clutch pedal and disengage.
The 95% that are backing livestock are clearly the victims in this whole discussion and their sensitivities need to be respected.

Sarcasm, I assume and hope. I've thrown all the climate studies out on this subject because a) I largely don't understand them and b) some are from conflicted sources

Seriously this thread is impossible to moderate and I just don't see the point of it at all. It appears to be 100% just people slagging each other off for (not) being veggie/vegan with occasional mentions of actual science or sense usually for purposes of said slagging, and if not, drowned out. It must rate as one of the most abusive threads on the board and that is saying something.
