Tomatoes are not needed some tomato puree in the patty is good
What are folks views on raw onion? I think not on a burger, ideally not raw anyway. Grilled or fried is great though. And onion relish - preferably not poncey or too sweet, also good.
Pickled in a little lemon or lime juice for a short time, certainly. On anything from curry to a burger. Raw is OK but I'd rather have it very finely chopped rather than a fuck off wedge. What are folks views on raw onion? I think not on a burger, ideally not raw anyway. Grilled or fried is great though. Wouldn't normally post about McDonald's here but I think we did go through a KFC double down phase, so I guess it warrants news about the 'grand big mac'
McDonald's Grand Big Mac & Mac Jr. Coming to the UK 7th February!
I’m fond of sprinkling chopped raw red onion over most things I eat. Gives a lovely crunch and flavour.
Raw red onion is very common on burgers though! especially poncey ones you see (and avoid) in 'gastropubs.'

Are you arguing that, just because I don’t care for the impractical nature of many expensive burgers, I’m a hypocrite for eating any of the component parts of said burger in completely unrelated meals? (Bread, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, red onion etc.)
Erm...no.
So what’s your point then?
you jumped to a conclusion about something else, there, which wasnt related. I was asking folks where they stand on the raw onions on burgers issue! *shrugs*
The amount of emojis suggested otherwise but never mind
Ahh nay bother! My apologies too (without emoji!). We all love each other on this thread.
