It was exciting, in an unexpected way. Maybe not both sides playing brilliant football like they're known for, but that doesn't make it any less of a classic match.

I made up my mind part way through the game. I just wanted as many suspensions as possible before the semi. A deserved win for Holland, but it was clear from quite early on that it was going to be a win for a team prepared to dive, foul, and hassle the referee over everything. As it turned out the cynical blue team lost their rag and the cynical orange team managed to spend a few minutes actually playing football. Entertaining, but not a great game.

No. Very bitty. Lots of fouls. One comedy goal. One stamping. Awful pitch – one bobble went almost head -height.
