My take. Hats off to Kader Keita. After ninety minutes of Luis Fabiano and Lucio feigning injury every time anyone breathed on them he showed them how to do it effectively. Not nice. But for fucks sake Luis Fabiano did precisely the same thing several times, he just didn't do it very convincingly. So is Luis Fabiano going to be pilloried for being a cheat? Probably not. I have every sympathy with Keita. There comes a point when if the referee isn't going to do anything about your opponents cheating then there's no longer any reason not to take the law into your own hands. Personally I thought the histrionics from the Brazilians at Kaka's dismissal reeked of hypocrisy. They'd spent most of the game trying to get Siaka Tiene sent off.
So naughty Abdulkader Keita. And well done mate, made my day.
Did anyone catch the chat with Adebayor after the game, when he talked about his team's ambush earlier this year? I found it very moving - people lying on the floor of the coach, some had been shot, ringing their loved ones because they thought they we're gonnna die. Now he's going home to be with his new born child who he hasn't seen yet - awww!
