I think it just happens that teams go into collective shock sometimes when they concede a couple of quick goals. If you can stay cool, as the Germans did, you can capitalise and bag a couple more.

But the team will come round and start doing the basics again. Which is what happened I would guess. Brazil gave up chasing and closing down for 15 mins. Then they woke up, dead in the water.

I think you're absolutely right to a certain extent, but I really do think there have been a few poor passes where they could have punished Brazil further. One coming down the right, and then Ozil on the break on the left are the ones that come to mind.

Germany have been great to watch. Proper one-touch football, every time you think they've got no pass to make they find one and slice right through Brazil in the process. Khedira and Schweinsteiger seem to be everywhere at once. The actual goals were nothing special though and any half-decent back four would probably have stopped at least three of them.

Brazil have no shape, no organisation and no better ideas than to either run the ball straight to the corner flag or hoof it high towards the strikers who aren't there.
