Bradley Wiggins attempts the UCI Hour record

At 6.30 today Bradley Wiggins will attempt to break the record for cycling the furthest round a track in 1 hour.

The current record is 52.937km.

I have a whopping idolisation to me - not as fussed about this as it all sounds a bit of a fait accompli...Though hopefully a (long running) addition to his palmares. Its always easier to 'chase' a (this) record, so to build one that no one can match will be a huge achievement - only time will tell how great his time is though. I bloody love the fact he's bothered about the old school records/events though - a true 'fans' cycling hero

The whole idea of going as far as you can in 30 mins plus 5 laps is pretty intense. Not just an immense physical challenge, but highly mental and strategic one.
