Really? I know some have onsite stations but the strip searches are normally reserved for "names and faces"! Jesus...a bit of an imbalance for personal, but it depends on what their targets are. If they are chasing numbers, then they will do what they can to get them up, unless they are drip fed tasks by the security staff. I've worked some clubs where the police have set up dogs and search stations - and used the club staff showers as strip search areas. Trouble with them is that you can't just walk away saying no thanks.
That's extreme and not something that I think has a place on most events. I know that Boomtown do try and give an outward nod to looking like they are doing their best to deal with the drugs issue. I think also we have had multiple deaths and some really serious hospitalisations this year and they are using that to lever their policies. Had updates on some who have had organ failures, shutdowns, damage, brain damage - all sorts, and all from cocktailing their stuff. To be fair, if you invented booze tomorrow you wouldn't get a licence to sell it. I've even picked up heroin on a club door this year - I mean, what the fuck is going on?!
