Best time to hit the 'Reduced To Clear' section?

Oh and a pack of 5p peaches, a pack of 5p satsumas and a 20p bunch of tarragon - which made me buy cream and white wine to make a sort of tarragon and tofu stroganof type thing

It looked like Asda were clearing out their "Middle eastern" shelves today..

3 big jars of pickled lemons 34p each
1kg of girkins 80p
500g dried grreen lentils 30p
big bag of sumac and thyme 25p each
Egyptian style fava beans in cumin/chili 21p each

and keloges variety packs of cerial normally 2.50 were going for 1.50 for two as they had them branded for the world cup

Inside gossip has the extra reduced at 7pm at my local. Got a ten minute early discount on 2 kilos of strawberries and grapes though for 1.75

Strawberries were pretty fucked despite being off today, can't believe they wanted 2.50 for the original reduction. Bunging a few in freezer to make juice at weekend.

Mrs B & myself have been doing v.well recently on the old reductions (esp. 'seasonal' stuff at the posh shops [M&S/Waitrose] :)...and yesterday we were able to put some of the stuff towards the Purley Food Hub & the Croydon Refugee Day Centre via the David Lean cinema's free charity screening of Babette's feast . Such a good idea; book for the free screening, but rock up with whatever food & £ you can donate to the charities:thumbs:

Anyway...back OT, on the way home after the film we did give Morrisons a go for 'TB' and did very well...

A good day all round:)

I went to M&S yesterday expecting a bonanza of reduced goodies. There was nothing at all. Which makes me wonder where the heckers they put all of the xmas stuff (because I don't believe for a minute that it all got bought) :hmm:

Forgot to say...also found 1p in the 'winnings cup', so only cost us 40p!
Sun shining on the righteous etc.:D

Probably fareshare or somewhere, they always seem to have loads of M&S stuff

That's a relief and they've redeemed themselves. My naturally cynical nature made me fear that it was in a skip somewhere so that the branding wasn't spoiled.

Im furious that i have found sweet F.A.

For me, the entire point of Christmas is to get as much reduced shit post Christmas day as possible. Never mind the presents, family & friends, boozing etc- if i dont get a trolley load of stuff (whether i like the stuff im buying or not) for mere pennies, Christmas is essentially ruined for me. Ill be scouring every shop for bargains today and tomorrow until i find something worthwhile.

£4 Asda smoked Salmon reduced to £1 yesterday as BBE that day. Bought 6 for the freezer along with some half price butchers counter duck breast and chicken breasts. Then the missus presented me with some half price wagyu ribeye steak when I was roused from my hangover today. Winning on the stickers right now.

2 x 50p packs of Richmond's sausages. One will go to sausage sandwiches and one to a sausage and vegetable bake or maybe sausage pasta bake. In the freezer now.

A veritable bonanza of yellow stickers in Sainsbury's this morning, although I find they rarely reduce things by a staggering amount. Got an organic free range chicken for a tenner (was £15), some organic beef mince for 2 quid instead of 3, and a massive ox cheek for 1.79 (was 2.65).
