Best time to hit the 'Reduced To Clear' section?

Big haul for me yesterday from Morrisons. People should keep their eye on the weather when deciding when to go yellow sticker shopping. Last week we had the first warm sunny day of the year and it was a yellow sticker bonanza. Yesterday it didn't stop raining and again, there was so much stuff people had filled their baskets and there was still loads left. Everything was marked down to 20p no matter the original price.

It's almost July and the reduced section in my local Waitrose has still not found a permanent home since being moved for the Christmas smoked salmon and big ham display.

I got posh Earl Grey teabags reduced from 7.49 to 2.49 the other day, but that was because the packaging was slightly foxed.

Four large kiwi fruits in Marks for 50p each. A bag of four 'king oranges' for a quid - they're massive oranges so some kind of mutant strain.

Wandered to Marks to see what I could get reduced to clear, and picked up these for half price of less - two large veg pasta bakes, two packs of avocados (fuck knows what I'm going to do with them), two packs of pain au raisins, two cantaloupe melons.

Got a lot of food to get through in the next few days. :hmm:

Saw a great reduced sale in Booths this afternoon. Someone had left a trolly full of shopppng without paying. Rather than put it all out again they repriced it quickly and put it in the RtC section. I couldn’t get near it for the scrum but there were some very happy people judging by some of the sounds and someone said there was a turkey crown for 2 quid.

Naff all in Waitrose comely bank this morning. Well, that's not strictly true - there was hunnerds of middle class tosser braying about like that wanks that they are. Jeans and shirts and dress shoes as casual wear type wankers.

But nothing of interest in the RTC sections.

How much do you pay for a kiwi fruit that 50p is a bargain? Or am I really old and still using 1990s prices in my head.

Fruit in Marks is usually good quality so it is worth spending more. I've no idea what the cheapest price is for kiwi fruits - they aren't something I buy that often.

I hit Morrisons 10 minutes before closing and they had fuck all. Well 20% off some kiwi fruit don't register on my woopsie scale. Much disapoint

Two boxes of crackers for £1.20 each, a candy pizza for 90p, box of Diary Milk for £1.60, three boxes of Christmas cards for 50p each from Sainsbury's. (Plus a further 15% off those produces for staff discount)

Box of biscuits for a quid, 14 mince pies (including chocolate and ginger ones) for 95p, 4 wooden decorations for a quid, two Christmas craft sets for 63p each from Waitrose.

All part of the post Christmas sell off

Did the title of this thread get changed at some point? Or is it a very similar one to the beggars banquet one?
It did. It was "tramp's buffet" before, but there was a big debate and it was deemed to be offensive or something, and got changed.
