pretty easy to think why ha. I imagine the rehearsals went: Mark arrives 2 hours late halfway through the band fucking around jamming, says " what's that bit it's good that" and then makes them play it over and over while he does some lyrics.

It's Grohl's drumming that always stands out for me with their live stuff. The flam he puts on everything, sounds almost like a studio effect.

mini derail here - this has brought back a memory of years ago watching what i think was a documentary on what i think was about the Seattle scene, and the bit that sticks out was a gig being played in a barn and there's a goat in the small audience <does that ring a bell with anyone? id like to know what it was
