Best riff ever

'83, not the 90's remake which was akin to George Lucas adding CGI shit to the original Star Wars trilogy

I'm not keen on the posting style of 2020 me, I sound like a bit of a dick imo.
Definitely always a jump scare seeing any of my own old posts come up....even from a couple of moths ago I sometimes think Who Is This Cunt? The price of opening your mouth is the way I see it.

99% of Slayer riffs are basically variations on the actual best metal riff ever:

but after that I got into a whole heavy metal thing, and in the end decided it was one meal or I'd be here pigging all night. So with the above pie I'd have this sauce:

I have a couple more, this bridges the gap between black flag "my war" and Sleep/Sunn O))) etc, but is probably the best riff of the lot:

and this is just amazing

Best riff from Zimbabwe, The Four Brothers- Wapenga Nayo Bonus

Best riff from what was then Zaire, Pépé Kallé & Nyboma - Zouke-Zouke

Can you believe he wrote that when he was 24/25? I mean... barely out of nappies and you're doing shit like that
I have a suspicion, based on no evidence, that most great tunes in the rock and pop world are written by young people. IME it's rare when a musician keeps writing great music as they age. Bob Dylan, Neil Young, yes. I'm sure there are more examples. But I think they're the exceptions.

Yeh. I'd agree. Equally, most of the great tunes are written by self taught musicians who have no idea how to read music. Pure instinct. Jimi being an example.
