it isn't though, unless you buy the cheap stuff.I'm in full agreement with @platinumsage here. Hot chocolate powder is just cocoa, sugar and powdered milk.
i always have mine in a Sports Direct mug cos normal ones never sate my appetite. Never been sick though.I'm in full agreement with platinumsage here. Hot chocolate powder is just cocoa, sugar and powdered milk.
Do it proper. 3 big spoons of high quality cocoa, plenty of brown sugar. Make a paste with milk. Thin it out with more milk and heat it in microwave. Top up with double cream. Drink a whole sports direct mug full and make yourself sick.
ETA sometimes I put orange zest in, or even a vitamin c tablet if I'm feeling really dirty.

I'm cheaper than that. I use my own dust.it isn't though, unless you buy the cheap stuff.
Carluccios used to have that on the menu. A small pot of stand-your-spoon-up-in-it hot chocolate accompanied by a small pot of nearly-stand-your-spoon-in-it double cream plus a shot of espresso. Called a bicerin. The best hot chocolate is the Italian style stuff made from so much melted chocolate that you can stand a spoon up in it.
Never had cocoa with peanut butter . How much do you add ?I'm a child of the 60s - so as always it's generic defatted cocoa made very thick with just hot water.
If I'm going off-piste I may add chia seeds and/or peanut butter.
One of the joys of tea, coffee and cocoa is the low calories.

Yes but how much ? A forkful or half a fork ?You sort of dunk it using a fork
Sometimes it's spread on banana first ...
Even my plain cocoa is almost thick enough to be chocolate...

Ever thought that there may be a reason why you've never published a cookbook?"to taste"
Depends of your need for comfort - or how much is left in the tub / jar.
Before my current attempt at dieting I was mixing cocoa powder, tahini and sugar - sometimes the sugar was berry cordial ... I rather suspect cherry cordial would be deadly ...
I can chop veggies with the best of them.Ever thought that there may be a reason why you've never published a cookbook?
They do a gingerbread one too which is lovely. Loads of squirty cream and chocolate powder helps it along.I don't know if it's luxury as in gourmet chocolate brands, but my mother bought a Turkish Delight rose hot chocolate from Whittard, which is absolutely stunning. I'm going to buy some for myself.
I was really impressed with it, despite being unsure when she offered it to me. I'll have a look at that one and whatever else they have. From my first sip of the rose Turkish Delight one I knew I'd found my new favourite hot chocolate. They do a gingerbread one too which is lovely. we used to go to a place in Manchester (now sadly closed down) that made hot chocolate with water and chocolate, aztec style - it's really nice, though I've found emulsifying a bit hit or miss at home.I’ve tried using real actual chocolate but that only works if you’re using a fatty fluid, some kind of milk.
