Not just Amelie :/

(I've probably bored on already about The Intouchables - if you've not seen, watch; it's the shit)

What are our other favourites from nos amis, les frogs?

I loved that film. It's supposed to be getting a Hollywood redo, which will be awful.

L'Armée Des Ombres - stark resistance flick
Le Convoyeur - loner joins security truck company
Sitcom - bourgeois family goes a bit weird
Assassin(s) - kid becomes apprentice to ageing hitman
Lacombe Lucien - boy rejected by resistance instead joins Milice
Un Prophète - normal guy gets chewed up by penal system, becomes player to survive
Zazie Dans Le Metro - young kid stays with cosmopolitan uncle in Paris, has adventures
Le Professionnel - jaded freelance killer takes on one last job, gets stiffed, seeks revenge

Oh gawd.

I now have a feast - thank you. :D

I year or so back I had a french boss and he pointed me at The Delicatasessen (wonderfully bonkers) and The Intouchables (life affirming).

Like your one line summaries. Fuck netflix, hire Cinzano.
