Best Dog Films

Man Bites Dog
I'd been going to suggest that one! Would also add Reservoir Dogs, Straw Dogs and Dog Day Afternoon to that list.
Had seen the poster to that one floating about a bit as a happy new year sort of thing, considered posting it on the bandwidthz thread or similar but didn't much feel like getting into a discussion of the film's content (not actually seen the film myself, read the Ellison short story though).

I’m not going to name the films in question in case I spoil it for anyone, but any films where the dog dies, as seen in at least two films mentioned already, are a proper cunt’s trick in my book

I am loath to mention anything Disney but have to mention pluto who as appeared in dozens of films, including one or two of his own.

If you're still looking for dog films..this is one is nice..
Also called Palma.

The film is inspired by an incredible story of a shepherd dog named Palm who was inadvertently left in the airport by her owner. She befriends nine-year old Nicholas whose mother dies leaving him with a father he barely knows - a pilot who finds the dog at the airport. It's a story of amazing adventures, true friendship and unconditional love.

Oh, meant to post that famous film White Dog Poo, instead?
That might fit a bit more with the thread's vibe than a film about deprogramming a dog that's been trained to attack and kill black people. :(

(It's actually a pretty interesting film and worth a watch.)
