being bullied at work

Can't really whistleblow to prevent her getting the same kind of job somewhere else without dropping the current place in it, innit?

apparently, she's all upset and angry and is thinking of going down the legal route. WHATEVER!!!! i couldn't give a fuck. she's "managed" enough people's "departures" for me not to feel even the slightest bit sorry for her. and i'm so proud of myself for standing up to the bitch and for standing up for my team - it's meant the past three months of hell weren't for nothing, and i can look myself in the eye and because i didn't cop out like so many of her managers do. w00t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When's her final day?

These people are as never as clever as what they think they are. They can get away with their behaviour for a while, but not forever.

Glad she's not going to be about to make your life a misery - now you can look forward to a very happy new year!

brilliant work and news

This happened to an ex-boss of mine - I reckon people like that often get their comeuppance!

Glad of the result for you dolly's gal.

I'm really happy to see this. Congrats for standing up for yourself and not folding. Hold your head high, well done. :)

:D well done for not copping out, dolly's gal.
Over the last 2-3 years had to endure three women power-gaming (and a bloke). At Uni, the two women & the bloke were dealt blows by our tutors - two were held back a year and one was kicked off the course completely, but not after giving me and them much grief (including assault, attempted assault, malicious shit-stirring, and ruthless power games concealed as *friendship* & helpfulness!). All I hope for now is for the latest ruthless power-gamer to reveal herself for who she truly is, but I guess that's in the lap of the gods ... as I refuse to stoop to such shitty tactics.

So glad to read this, didn't know what to say before coz I'd no experience with bullying.
Hurrah for you :)

It's a toughie. Before I went to Uni, I'd only ever had one experience of workplace bullying, from my admin asst, who was running a stationery shop on the side. When I pulled him to one side and said I'd be locking the stationery cupboard every night on the advice of my director (for whom I was PA at the time), he began his red-faced insults when he thought no-one was watching/listening. I said very loudly at the fotocopier after a particularly nasty insult "would you like to repeat that for all to hear?"
I think the director must have heard him hissing at me, because he was moved not long after, lol.

good on U, Dolly's Gal! result that was needed, and deserved, after that 5h1t.
I wish more people had the guts to stand up against bullying. It is very difficult.(from personal experience!)
Can't see *her* getting a good reference for another job.......
(Whistle to P.eye......)

Well done. Dolly!
Workplace bullying seems to be coming more commonplace - I work in a team where 3 people have left in the last year and another 2 are transferring to different departments, because our boss is also a nightmare.
The upside is that we all work very well together as a team.
