this thread has brought back some really bad memories of a job we attempted a long long time ago on a mk3 cortina

I am struggling to find any more pics of the beast in all its shitty glory, it had many many custome features, of which I can remember...

• Mk3 4 door cortina with back doors welded shut
• bespoke Roll cage made from scaffy bars or similar shit
• XJ6 Running gear
• XJ6 Steering setup, including oversized wheel
• XJ6 dashboard cut up to fit in - nothing worked obv
• Velour Seats from an Opel Commodore or something similar
• rusty rostyle wheels from a Viva IIRC
• XJ6 Engine transplant proved too much hassle, so we found a rattly smoking V4 from a scrapyard corsair or summit we banged it into the compartment
• Homemade soft top

It was christened "The Skip" due to its ability to fill up with discarded rubbish when parked in town.

Sometimes they're covers that go over the hood a bit to stop stone chips etc...
