Arsenal FC Season 2017/18 - FA Cup Holders - The Road To Europa League Glory

if people playing well's for the reason you suggest clearly none of the spurs players want to leave
Possibly barring Danny Rose (or even that might be media horseshit) I really don't think any of them do. It'd be a different question if the likes of Real or Barca came in for them of course - but leaving aside our recent blip, they've seen a steady upward trend under Poch, we've just topped the "Group Of Death" in the Champions League, and at least up until a couple of weeks ago we'd amassed the same points total as this point last year. Athough much has been made of our wages, the truth is that in the EPL only the mega-rich clubs (Man U, City, you lot, Chelsea, Liverpool) and 6 more in the rest of the world pay more than Spurs. Our wage structure's as it should be for the club to be sustainable as it is. Once the stadium's built that may change - Levy's done it in a way that won't saddle us with crippling debt unlike some others in the past...

Dele will go to Real sometime in the next few years. Maybe Eriksen, who'd actually be far more difficult to replace. It's hard to tell with Vertonghen and Alderweireld as they don't say much, but they don't say much. As long as Poch stays and we keep making progress I can't see Kane leaving - he's got a genuine desire to go down in history as a one-club Spurs legend instead of just a great player who moved around the big clubs.

Thought Arsenal put in a phenomenal 30 mins in that game against United, consistent and dangerous pressure forced United to have 11 players trapped in their six yard box.

Arsenal should have shut Newcastle down early today. They dominated possession for most of the game but seemed reluctant to shoot

Newcastle came back in the last 15 minutes and looked like they were going to get a goal back.

When the whistle blew it was relief rather than joy in the Emirates

The penalty was harsh in the extreme, but it was hard to watch that kit for 90 minutes and think that some late sickener wasn't entirely deserved.

I listened to it on the radio & it sounded a shite match till the last ten minutes but the commentators were saying that it was no way a penalty. That's football though.

All the good work over his tenure and his status as an Arsenal man, will be gone and forgotten if he drags them down any further. Must be tough for the old chap but has to chuck it in now.
