Arsenal FC Season 2017/18 - FA Cup Holders - The Road To Europa League Glory

Arsenal said in a statement: "Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has joined us from Borussia Dortmund on a long-term contract for a club-record fee.

"Our second signing of the January transfer window, the 28-year-old is one of the world’s most highly-rated strikers. He scored 98 goals in 144 Bundesliga games for Dortmund and had a hand in 172 goals in 213 matches in all competitions for his former club.

"That works out at an average of 96 minutes per goal or assist.

Although the world of Twitter said:
Rob: Wenger will probably put him in goal.

Mac: As an Arsenal fan, it doesn't matter who we buy. If Wenger is still at the helm, we are doomed - if he trained a fish, it would drown.
:D

Mesut Ozil has ended months of speculation over his future by signing a new three-and-a-half-year contract to remain at Arsenal until the summer of 2021.

He must know Wenger is leaving - good news all round...apart from current results...:hmm:

You're lucky I didn't include a link to Hoddle's report on why Spurs new stadium will hold them back. It was reported in the paper (seen on the train on my commute in) and I was going to sling it over your side of the fence.

Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan chemistry give Arsenal hope of ‘fast football’ again | Amy Lawrence

"A few years ago, when Jens Lehmann was in between spells as an Arsenal player and coach, he explained a key to the great Invincibles team with a teasing question: “What is the fastest thing on a football pitch?” he asked cryptically, looking smug as he waited for the wrong answer. “It’s not the ball,” he added, before the big reveal: “Nobody is faster on the pitch than a thought."

Err, and your red cards matey...but otherwise the above is a good read.
