Arsenal FC Season 2017/18 - FA Cup Holders - The Road To Europa League Glory

Predictions for today #afc fans?
Chelsea have won eight of the last 11 Premier League meetings (D2, L1)

The Blues have earned five successive top-flight home victories against Arsenal, with an aggregate score of 15-2

A sixth consecutive away league defeat against Chelsea would represent Arsenal's worst run against a club since losing seven in a row to Liverpool between 1981 and 1988.

Arsenal have kept only one Premier League clean sheet in their last 18 games at Stamford Bridge.

A nice brace from Lacazette, but they didn't dominate the game, and WBA could easily have had a pen. A nervy win, hope it builds confidence.

Where's Cazorla?

We really need Santi back.
Decent win against WBA, but we were really shaky for much of the first half.
Yes, they should have had a penalty, but we should have had two, and Dawson should have been off.
I really do have a lot of sympathy for refs when it comes to playing advantage. It's just one of those calls that you can never, ever get right. You'll always be crucified

Scrappy, nothing much game in Belgrade. Weirdest team selection I have seen in a long, long time. Plus, sadly, with every game he gets, Theo seems nowadays to justify Wenger's lack of faith in him.
On the plus side, Jack looks like he's on his way back to his best, magical goal from the most admirable squad player we have and 3 points away are good enough reasons to celebrate.
No wonder this lot so often get thumped by top sides though

Reindeer Cup draw -

Chelsea v Bournemouth

Arsenal v West Ham

Leicester v Manchester City

Bristol City v Manchester United

I suppose Bristol will be hoping for City in the Semis.

OK, good from the Swansea game:their resilience and capacity to fight back from behind.
Bad: just about everything else. We fluked a scrappy win against a team above the relegation slots on goal difference. Against a better team we would get murdered.
In fact, we did. They were called Liverpool

God, Ozil was phenomenal last night. He made every other player in the league look like a Carthorse.
All of which does tend to beg the question: why can't he do that more often, and especially against the biggest teams?

Because he's not usually playing for a transfer in the Jan transfer window
