Are You "Anyone But England"?

Frankly, the phrase "Tiocfaidh ar la" has been around a lot longer than republicanism.
It's the same as "our day will come"

And it fits a lot more than a narrow IRA aspiration.

Of course. It just feels a bit odd laughing at a bunch of lads on a night out who obviously don't speak gaelic. That's just my intepretation of it. As I said, I don't have a problem with the actual saying.

Now, if they were a bunch of dickheads annoying other Irish people on their night out, I might be less bothered ;)

They were probably singing "it's coming home " before all this.

And you know the Irish love to piss take :D

Finally, it seems like Paolo and the dragon have yapped themselves hoarse!

It’s all gone quiet over there!
I think they've realised they're on a hiding to nothing, and are trying to sneak away without anyone noticing.
I wonder if a mod will be along shortly to close the thread down, because an unnamed person (who may or may not be vegan) complained of bullying.

Has an unnamed person complained of bullying?

Irish republican fandom insisted that it be retconned as canon - like when they added Harley Quinn to the Batman/Joker mythos.
Been reading the irishman recently, Richard piggott's newspaper, and flag of ireland, in the 1860s, 1870s and 1880s. Haven't seen a sign of our day will come or similar
