Frankly, the phrase "Tiocfaidh ar la" has been around a lot longer than republicanism.
It's the same as "our day will come"
And it fits a lot more than a narrow IRA aspiration.
Of course. It just feels a bit odd laughing at a bunch of lads on a night out who obviously don't speak gaelic. That's just my intepretation of it. As I said, I don't have a problem with the actual saying.
Now, if they were a bunch of dickheads annoying other Irish people on their night out, I might be less bothered
