Are You "Anyone But England"?

You really don't want to just write Yes I am English, eh?
I wrote exactly what I wanted to write, not sure why it should concern you tbh.

And you prefer England's opponents to win ..
Absolutely...

is that limited to International football or does it encompass all international competitions?
...cricket and football are the main two...maybe rugby as well. Again not sure why it is of such concern.

Maybe you should go to an international match sometime, so you'd have more perspective on the attitudes of away fans at a game than what you seem to have picked up from the pub or worse still, the news.
So many poor and inaccurate assumptions in one paragraph.

I'm not sure PaoloSanchez really cares who wins or loses. What he cares about is being edgy and controversial on Urban so as to get lots of people paying him attention.
tbh, I'm not sure why rooting for anyone but England should be "edgy and controversial", especially as the English often see themselves as fair minded and tolerant folk.

Well the OP (Masterbaiter) is a shit stirring specialist, so it's hardly surprising.

Well I can't speak for others, however I've never said that I hated England, I have a preference for the other team to win. That is enough to raise the heckles of the lunds and they appear to get rather anxious and agitated. Pity the fools.
NOEZ! IM TRIGERED! :(

It isn't edgy and controversial, but from here it looks as if you are trying very hard to be edgy and controversial.

Or maybe it's just habit.

It's coming home!

I seem to remember every non-England game on TV being ruined by commentators still droning on about England, and then at half-time going to check out what Peter Beardsley is doing by the pool, or watch 'the lads' play ping-pong, or some other bollox. Once England are out the rest of us can just enjoy the football.
This point more than fair, fucks me off as an England fan too. Like I'd not actually be interested in the whole range of sides or the game I've chosen to watch.

Its more to do with the English media than the normal people - the fake humility when playing better teams, the arrogance when playing 'smaller' countries, and condescending attitude to the other parts of the British Isles. Its just obnoxious and boring so I want you to lose to piss off Ian Wright, Gary Lineker, Martin Tyler, Gary Neville, Alan Shearer et al.
I agree the media do play a big part in whipping up patriotic fervour. I know it's the World Cup and it's supposed to be special and all that, but the excessive pre-match, post-match analysis and punditry is way over the top. I'm not sure which is worse, the subtle gloating when they win or the endless whining when they lose.

The joy in England when Germany got knocked out reminded me of how much I enjoy seeing England get knocked out. I don't see how they can complain about ABEs after all the gloating about that a week or so ago.
There is more than just touch of hypocrisy there.

I'm convinced that some political people who come out with that sort of schtick are just using it as a convenient fig leaf to disguise their dislike of football.
There might be some truth in that., howver there is a line or arguement behind it. The basic Trot line or at least the SWPs was football is popular because it is a distraction from the realities of capitalism, international football competition accentuates nationalism, after the revolution there wont be any competitive sport just individual leisure.

Wrecked mate, lolz.

On the plus side, over £5k raised for repairing it: Help raise £5000 to repair an emergency response vehicle that was damaged after England's game against Sweden in the World Cup Quarter Final.

Millwall F.C. supporters have raised thousands of pounds to repair a paramedic car that was trashed by football supporters celebrating England’s World Cup victory.
