Question Are people still using firewire external drives?

"vibey"
As per title.
I have a few barely used that I don't know if I can be bothered to list. I suppose maybe people keeping old machines alive?
Are people interested in the enclosures?

Haven't really clue about this but I don't want to just sling them.

Any thoughts appreciated :)

You don't really see the ports anymore. Macs were the only computers that had them as standard and they stopped putting them in years ago. I've got an old PCI firewire card I used to use to transfer video from an old Sony video camera and last time I tried to use it I discovered that there hasn't been a new driver created for it since Windows 2000, so it's useless.

Nothing to stop you trying your luck on ebay though. I've sold all manner of odd IT stuff over the years. There's always the chance someone out there wants it.

Firewire is long dead. I doubt you'd find a computer with a firewire port these days. The last time I used it was around 15 years ago, and it was almost obsolete then.
