Um,unless I have missed something obvious,forums are still thriving. My oldest membership is GardenWeb (1997) while I also visit Classic Oil Lamps, MyTractor, Ravelry, Selfbuild Motor caravans, Allotments for all...to single out a handful. All of these have topical/political subgroups. The world of forums/bulletinboards is alive and well.
I don't do FB, Insta,Tiktok or any of the really large and unbounded forums/sites.

I have my own theory about this.

Black pool tower exists as a thing in our heads.
We know it is there. But have no actual proof of remembrance it is there.
Every year they either set fire to it or get a bunch of chimps stuck at the top of the roller coaster. , only reason being to remind you there is a “pleasure” beach at black pool.
Look historically at the news, they do this shit every year.
