The transition between the two was brilliant! It’s got not just Kurt Russell but his son playing him as his younger self, due to looking like a carbon copy. Worth watching for that alone

you and T & P and your ilk are ruining the television experience with your demands to binge. Find it so frustrating!Yeah I can't stand the drip feed either, if I didn't have A|TV+ as part of another sub I would just pay for a month or two each year to binge all the stuff worth watching...
Bingeing is the best thing about modern TV. It began with physical box sets: the joy of being able to watch an evening of television you actually choose to watch, instead of just being the best choice out of what happens to be on next. It’s wonderful. And then when streaming adopted that model, it was great. I want to watch 3 episodes in a row of whatever it is I’m enjoying. Even better if you can go straight from one season into the next, and therefore actually remember the plot and who the characters are! Love it.you and T & P and your ilk are ruining the television experience with your demands to binge. Find it so frustrating!
How do you miss out on stuff because people like bingeing? It means I miss out on loads of stuff though, and I matter more than everyone else
I can only keep up with a series if the episodes are broadcast in the traditional manner, even on streamers. I can get on top of a series if I can watch one episode weekly. If a whole season is released at once, I won't get around to watching it, unless it's something I consider essential. But I'll still watch only one at a time, and then will have to avoid spoilers on here, other social media, and IRL, cos I seem to be surrounded by greedy fuckers who seem to watch telly in ALL of their free time and have bolted an entire season in two evenings. How do you miss out on stuff because people like bingeing?
Flattered as I am by your apparent suggestion that I exert any influence in the decision making of major TV studios, I’m pretty certain that they don’t monitor conversations in this forum about the wonders of bingeing. I certainly haven’t written to any studios ‘demanding’ anything.you and T & P and your ilk are ruining the television experience with your demands to binge. Find it so frustrating!
I wasn’t being serious! Fair enough, certainly about the spoilers bit.I wasn’t being serious! But streaming HAS ruined a lot of television for me (and many others, I assume)
Exactly. Appointment tv is antiquated nonsense in this day and age!Bingeing is the best thing about modern TV. More bingeing. Hooray for bingeing.
But if one so chooses, one can set one’s own appointments. So it’s win win, really.Exactly. Appointment tv is antiquated nonsense in this day and age!
There’s too much choice! Some people need structure! But if one so chooses, one can set one’s own appointments. So it’s win win, really.
OK, tell me which programmes you like and I’ll tell you when to watch them. There’s too much choice! Some people need structure!
No they don’t, they just need a good recommendation alg. There’s too much choice! Some people need structure!
Stop moaning, you're clearly not trying hard enough. You've got to work at watching telly if you want to get your serieses in. Put the hours in man. Sleep less; sack off socialising.I can only keep up with a series if the episodes are broadcast in the traditional manner, even on streamers. (I also remember what's happening cos I only watch good stuff that demands my attention and keeps me engaged. I find I don't remember anything if I rush through. I also don't have the time to binge, so one hour of tv an evening is quite enough to deal with)
But streaming is not necessarily binging. I never watch actual telly, but I still need to pace out my watching at a sustainable level. I don’t have 3 hours spare every evening to gorge myself on overrated overextended tv shows. The fact that most people watch most of their TV on demand ( streaming or time shifting) means the national grid has far fewer TV pick ups - i.e back in the old three channel days, when Coronation Street ended 10 million people would put their kettles on do 2 power stations would need to be put on line. Now this hardly ever happens except during big national events. This smoothing of demand makes the electricity generation much more efficient.
So basically if you don’t like streaming it’s like drowning baby pandas…

There you go the argument has been won!The fact that most people watch most of their TV on demand ( streaming or time shifting) means the national grid has far fewer TV pick ups - i.e back in the old three channel days, when Coronation Street ended 10 million people would put their kettles on so 2 power stations would need to be put on line.
