Compare and contrast with the hounding you appear to be giving Mikey on here - THIS is ixactly how it happens!
People who don't toe the line in terms of conformity tend to get outcasted, just as you are all doing here, so in essence you've all answered your own question ie people just like you are the reason people like Elliot go on shooting sprees ie it's due to intolerance of difference

That's part of the sick problem. The other side of it is you are a "loser" precisely because you are a virgin and have not had a relationship. Then when the said loser starts to focus on the lack of a partner he is the one who has supposedly made the choice on what criteria his "self-esteem" should be based on. There is a sick game in society that rubs it in for the "loser", but it is widespread. MTV culture, bling etc. You can call it misogyny depending on your agenda, but both men and women want to flaunt their success, relationships, looks etc. and at the same time label the next person negatively them to push themselves up the ladder. What tosh. Again you type utter tosh. Self-esteem is always culturally influenced by what society values in people. A guy with no boundary looks to society to see what his self worth is according to society's ideas and there is his problem. Of course parenting and the education system are part of that, but it is a common problem with "self-esteem".
