The above is not surprising. As I said earlier the website PUAhate also had a lot of guys praising George Sodini another shooter / murderer of women back in 2009. That is the same site Elliot Rodger frequented. It's sick stuff. After he carried out the killings I read the posters on PUAHate were making fun of his looks. He seemed to wallow in self-disparaging posts on that site where people talk of themselves as "beta males".
I only read some of his manifesto, but apparently the DMs reporting he claimed to be ridiculed and teased at 14 by a girl who ended up being a Hollister model. He claimed that is where his hatred of women started. The woman was named by the US media, which she probably won't enjoy. She'll be a hate figure for PUAhate.

yeh get the new stephen king - but read the shining first if you haven't already.OK I was bullied at lot at school, I did sexual stuff with a few girls but I had real trouble relating to people much of the time, but I only properly lost my virginity when I was 22, by a guy who sexually assaulted me the following day. reading his self pitying whining is making me feel sick, I ought to stop, I had a lot of similar problems but I never fucking did anything like that

It does look that way - it's hard to imagine what would have worked given that he had access to the best help available.
Fuck. I've been interested in the case, but I can't imagine reading all of his self-important rant.
I found it an odd experience, he's an immature dick but at first I also found myself feeling sorry for him and wishing I could buy him a drink and try and talk some sense in to him. Then I'd remember what he went out and did once he'd emailed it to his family.

If the best the publishers can say about the Stephen King is that it its "hugely anticipated" then I'd steer clear: the implication is that even fans will find it a crushing disappointment.
Perhaps we move away from the idea that we should all be in monogamous relationships. In some places in India two brothers may well share a wife - partly due to a lack of women and partly in order to not have to divide agricultural land.
Then again allowing multiple partners could easily cause further problems if it becomes normal for powerful males to take several wives....

I read possibly too much of it. What comes across is how stressful his day-to-day existence seemed to be, how trapped he was. His emotional and social intelligence seemed seriously impaired, for whatever reasons (I'm not going to speculate). The altercations, racism and misogyny are chilling. Only his own agonies mattered. And plenty tried to help him, but he seemed completely incapable of seeing beyond his obsessions.
Disturbing, and sad. It doesn't glorify anything.
