A thank you to Brexiteers.

When a government cannot be voted in or out, the electorate have problems.
It is possible you are unaware of National and European Parliament elections that have taken place.
As I say, possibly clunky, but Europeans voted the EU leadership in, and can vote them out.
The electorate had no particular problems with that form of democracy.

No. When it's time for a general election, the electorate get to have a choice. You couldn't remove the EU. Yes, I know we eventually did, but not in an easy way. When a general election is announced, it's a matter of months to its conclusion, not years. Or rather decades, if you take it from the last time we were asked a similar question on Europe - 1975.
Are you aware how the governance of the EU is created?

There is over 700 members in the EU parliament, we didn't get to vote on 90%. In the Council, we didn't get to vote on 27 of its members. We didn't get a say on the executive Commission. And people in the UK complain of a Tory majority in our UK parliament. Well, it isn't a 90% majority. Yet re-joiners see no conflict in that.

Countries definitely do cede power and sovereignty. You couldn't have a unity of 28 nations without giving up the concept of self. But do you think any of the other countries would be thinking of the UK, and not themselves. The EU is a nonsense.
There are 650 members of Parliament and you only get to vote on one of them.
The UK absolutely got a say on EU commissioners.

Well no, we're only really talking about nationalist supporters here, aren't we, not "the Scottish". As I understand the nationalists' position, they desire independence from the UK and wish to apply to rejoin the supra state involving the shared sovereignty that existed pre-Brexit.

That's the picture I get. They can't be interested in independence.

No. You’re supposed to accept that this is what you wanted, and it’s what everyone got. You can’t say nobody told you it would be a fucking mess, because it was pointed out the whole way along.

It isn't a mess. It's what you get when there is upheaval, a pandemic and a war in Ukraine.

Laughable. It isn't that the whole Brexit thing has been woefully mishandled by the vermin it's all these other extraneous factors without which all would have been sunlit uplands.

Heard it all before. Re-joiners love to forget the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and that gift of the banking crisis, which deregulation helped cause. The fact that the EU employs an undemocratic system is just another form of deregulation.

Brexit has been the biggest peacetime cunting catastrophe in the entire history of this country outside of the fucking Plague. Even ardent Brexiteers don't pretend anymore it's otherwise (even if still mantaining it could have been done right- LOL, but let's park that for now). To pretend that everything is not going badly is next-level WTAF. Well done.

No it hasn't been a catastrophe. The re-joiners don't get it, but that means nothing. They're not too well clued up on a lot matters. They get right into the profanities quick.
