I’m probably out too. But my interpretation is this. The imperialist mindset of the countries we find ourselves in and associated supporting industries and methodologies, financial systems and hoarding of wealth means that whilst we fiddle, the world burns.
We can’t see it, for the same reason a person standing in Trafalgar Square can’t see England.
The distractions given by the media mean we don’t see it.

They are making it illegal for small boat channel crossings to be shown on the Instagram and Twitter of UK users.
In 2019 I travelled. I Walked through Portugal as it was on fire. I was in Amsterdam on their first 40 degree day.

I'm saying the picture you are painted in your increasingly isolationist island is not a true representation of the facts and they are seeking to punish with jail, tech bosses who allow the true global refugee problem, to appear on your social media platforms.
I chose to mention my travel because I feel it relevant. The information that I was being fed from news I was reading in the UK and in Denmark, did not correspond with the reality of what I was seeing further south in Europe.

People get their news from a multitude of sources - often aggregated via social media or sites like this (and/or using VPN) - and it's not all "served from localized caches" - and even if it was, what point are you trying to make here?
