A thank you to Brexiteers.

Again, think bigger. The EU is merely a component in this.
A way of life that seems to result in the desertification of vast swathes of the planet. Far away. Out of sight out of mind.
Until the people living in those deserts seek refuge.
The desert is moving North. It's difficult to see through the drizzle of the UK, but it's there.

I’m probably out too. But my interpretation is this. The imperialist mindset of the countries we find ourselves in and associated supporting industries and methodologies, financial systems and hoarding of wealth means that whilst we fiddle, the world burns.
We can’t see it, for the same reason a person standing in Trafalgar Square can’t see England.
The distractions given by the media mean we don’t see it.
Please be aware of where you get your news from. Internet Traffic to and from the UK is routed and news stories are served from localized caches.
They are making it illegal for small boat channel crossings to be shown on the Instagram and Twitter of UK users.

In 2019 I travelled. I Walked through Portugal as it was on fire. I was in Amsterdam on their first 40 degree day.

The reason you are upset with me is because I am challenging what you believe to be true.
Sorry.

I am not upset with you. You are not challenging what I believe to be true. Everything someone can see in trafalgar Square is part of England you pillock

and even just from memory I know this to be patently untrue as do you, ignoring the Candian High Commision and the statue of George Washington, every building there almost certainly being in the ownership of multinational plutocracies.

I'm not condemming or calling anyone sheeple. I'm saying the picture you are painted in your increasingly isolationist island is not a true representation of the facts and they are seeking to punish with jail, tech bosses who allow the true global refugee problem, to appear on your social media platforms.

I chose to mention my travel because I feel it relevant. The information that I was being fed from news I was reading in the UK and in Denmark, did not correspond with the reality of what I was seeing further south in Europe.
Refugees here are very much out of sight out of mind. Most people do not even realise the extent of the issue in Southern Europe. The african refugees on the streets in Hamburg do not make it this far. The syrian refugees arriving daily in Amsterdam.
The Ukrainians have their flags in the main train station.
And very much social media colours your vision. Everything we consume colours our vision.

Unless I missed it the issue of controlling inflation either by hope, wish or socialist governments wasn't an issue during the referendum.
I think it was....indirectly

Freedom of movement give business access to a larger porential workforce helped keep inflationary pay demands in check....losing that gives the BoE and the government a bit of a headache dealing with what we are

which of course I'm guessing is a term you made up yourself of is it part of the culture getting fed to you?

People get their news from a multitude of sources - often aggregated via social media or sites like this (and/or using VPN) - and it's not all "served from localized caches" - and even if it was, what point are you trying to make here?

All the sheeple are being fed localised propaganda by The Man? Or what?
the point I am trying to make is that the reality of the situation is not what is reaching people in our respective countries.

British Culture Secretary Michelle Donelan announced in a statement to parliament that measures to tackle “illegal immigration” had been added to the ongoing Online Safety Bill.

Go on, where's the bit that will make it "illegal for small boat channel crossings to be shown on the Instagram and Twitter of UK users."

As opposed to showing such in a positive light.

On tenterhooks awaiting your reply.

it's the vagueness that you need to be worried about.

So your assertion that it will be "illegal for small boat channel crossings to be shown on the Instagram and Twitter of UK users" was correct if you take what was actually being proposed and change it to suit your imagination. Righty-ho.
