I thought you would have recognised my inherent indolence by now.

I've just read the Guardian article, the international nuclear authority points out that there is no risk, and indeed it is routine at other plants.

Pity they can't extract the tritium.

Tritium has a half-life of 12 years and is a beta (electron) emitter. It decays into Helium-3, which is stable and non-toxic (and will eventually escape into space if uncontained). If only fossil fuel emissions acted like that.
