The other Corinthian of the Step 5 Southern Counties East League, based at Longfield Kent, have already been selling tickets for their tie against Hampton.Casuals seem to expect to be allowed to have fans in the ground. Not seen any formal confirmation for the appropriate authorities this will be permitted though.
Have to say I feel sorry for home teams who will have to try and police that one. How to create a potential flashpoint. Not exactly fair on their, often numerically small and not that young, volunteer base. A ludicrous decision.
I've already seen a Tier Two fan threatening to kick off if he is denied entry to a match he has already bought a ticket for, by the home side.
The sensible compromise is surely just to turn up without colours and not draw attention to yourself as a supporter of the away club? If the host club has already sold you a ticket (I know of Hampton and Maidstone fans who have already bought tickets for their club's away tie) it's probably more trouble than it's worth trying to stop them gaining admission.Unfortunately the Casuals may have been put into a position whereby they have to try and turf people out for celebrating an away goal. It's just the sort of game the authorities may pop along to looking for breaches.
A club not a million miles from me has already been on the receiving end of "advice" from the authorities after non compliances by spectators were either reported or spotted.
