2020/21 Pre season friendlies and fixture list

That's my point! I've not said I agree with Sutton's pricing! It is a bit daft frankly. However as there's no fans they're probably looking at it to get some sort of income in. VCD was £4 to get in and I wouldn't have expected that for free...
You're comparing physical entry to a ground to watching a (most likely) one-camera video stream of an empty ground?

There's some cost to doing the stream. I don't know what it is but filming and hosting isn't free. I don't have the expertise to say what a break even price is - if anyone does I'll be keen to learn. Maybe everyone else will be put off and it will just be me on the stream.

As the return of fans is uncertain I can't blame them for trying to generate some sort of income from the game given contracted players will presumably be paid?

For the same cost as entry to the ground I can still see the game (probably less as I don't need to get in my very thirsty car!), so I personally can live with the fiver.

I don't blame them either, but pricing a friendly non league game at league prices is unlikely to win them many favours or - indeed - much return.

Unless they've hired in a crack, multi-camera hi-def broadcast team, streaming a game can cost - literally - pennies. I'm rubbish at video, but I'd be happy to have a go at streaming a Hamlet*/Peckham game and all I'd need would be a wi-fi signal.

(*but there would be no point because DHFC TV do an absolutely brilliant job)

Anyway we don't have to agree on this, but I'm not paying a fiver to watch a non league friendly on the internet, thanks.

Dapo Olarewaju appears to be a young winger previously at Hyde United, possibly spending last year in the youth team at SV Meppen in the third tier in Germany.
