Your daily cat and kitten news

It is all set.
The little choc point boy has been returned to the breeder - he'd only been in his new home 8 days, and apparently the sticking point was that he preferred the guys girlfriend to him  humans are basically the worst.
So both little boys will be coming to live with us on Saturday. The breeder says "only if you like them of course, you don't have to take them if you don't" - hahahahaha this is me, and they're cats, I can't see there being any issues.

There is always a tiny chance I guess of something going tits up, but I want to post a pre-emptive and hopefully not too premature excitement photo of the little boys who will almost certainly be coming to live with me anyway.

Merry Xmas to all the Urb cats and kittens and their loyal servants :)

He's absolutely gorgeous!

It's just as well the man who bought him returned him to the breeder as he didn't sound like a suitable owner. No wonder the cat preferred the girlfriend to that narcissistic twat!

I hope the breeder didn't give him his money back.

Have you got far to travel to collect the boys?

The journey home with them will be so lovely and knowing that you'll have cats in the flat again as it must seem empty without Jakey.

South coast, not too horrendous, getting a lift from my parents.

I'm actually dreading the journey, when we brought Jakey home he busted the door off the carrier and I had to take my shoelaces off to tie it back on - utter nightmare.
He didn't know us or what the actual fuck was going on, and we couldn't have a panicking cat loose in the car.

They are absolutely stunningly gorgeous. although it's almost hard to tell which beautiful head belongs on which sleek little body when they are entwined like that.

I hope you adore them and that they settle in well and soon adore you too.

I love the sound oriental cats make.

Years ago I had an un-neutered Siamese queen boarding with me and she came into season while her owners were away. She was making such a racket calling for a mate that my down-the -road neighbour came up to see what was going on as she thought there was a baby in distress in the garden!
Our Mia is like that too. She always thinks that when someone is on the phone, she should be involved too.

As I work from home, I have sometimes had to shut her out of my study when I've been on a particularly challenging call and she doesn't like it - not one bit!

Yes it's like a feline optical illusion isn't it? :D
In addition, the tortie point a bit out of focus in the background is the mother to one of the kittens, but I'm not sure which - they are from different litters with different parents.
Thank you, I'm a bit nervous with anticipation and hoping they take to us quickly, I'm sure it will be fine but new family members arriving can often be a bit stepping into the unknown, so to speak.
I've been used to particular cats for so long, but am looking forward to them settling in and showing us their own little personalities :)

It's just like the arrival of any new baby/ies. As the old saying goes - they bring the love with them, when they arrive.

I wish you much joy and happiness with them. They're so lucky to be coming to a such a loving home.

Gorgeous! Mine would respond, but they're smacked out of their minds on their super-strong christmas catnip toys :D
Not had catnip here in years - Radar liked it, but one whiff of the stuff would make Sonic aggressive towards the others so he'd strut around doing OSH growling (which sounds like a cross between someone being murdered and someone playing a Theremin, and probably upset the neighbours as well as our other cats), and Jakey didn't react to it - so we never had any in.
Might try some catnip toys with the kittens when they are here.
