Your daily cat and kitten news

Ah, just remembered I gave him some cat milk this morning, doh. The protein might have tipped his bum into overdrive.

I'd normally suggest some chicken breast meat poached in plain water and chopped up for him to have for tea tonight while he's waiting to see the vet, but with his allergies it's hard to say what might set him off.

If he's insured, is there a free (or rather, included in your premiums) veterinary helpline you can call that can give you advice about what to feed him tonight to keep his tummy stable?

Jocky's had the squits today, 3 liquid poos, last one had a bit of blood in it (am assuming cos he's shat the world out). Think I'm not gonna feed him anything later. Will ring vet tomorrow. He's been getting progressively looser on this HA food.
Oh no! Hope he's OK and it is just the food. I'm sure that'll be it.

Veggie household, and weather too icy to go out for chicken. Think I'll risk 10g of the HA.

Spud Dutch-ovened me this morning. He was under the duvet with me, with the duvet pulled over our heads, and I was giving him his morning cuddle, when he suddenly decided he no longer wanted to be under the duvet, and left me under there with the stinkiest fart imaginable. He's a good boy!
I decided to go to bed early and watch a film, and I've just got my own back on Spud. He couldn't decide which way to escape, but he eventually made a new exit at the bottom of the bed. 🤣

I got them two new cat beds in the sales.

Cheap but probably the wrong colour! :D

Also, because I couldn't get any packet leaves, I bought a coriander plant and spent the whole evening trying and failing to keep them off of it.

Which led to my being woken at 4:30am to the sound of Diùra throwing-up LOUDLY...!

Not the wrong colour at all. Your lovely dark beauty will have fun moulting all over it! 🤣

Hope she's OK from her vomiting fit, though.

She seems just fine now and has been eating/playing well all morning. :)

Everything I have read suggests coriander leaf isn't at all toxic to cats, she might have just been using it the same way they sometimes eat a lot of grass when they need to vomit/bring up a furball.
It's not great for the plant or your supply of culinary herbs, but seems to be safe for cats to eat.

Thanks. :)

It's not great coriander either, nowhere near as fragrant as the packet leaves I normally get from Lidl and there is no way I can risk leaving it on a windowsill to see if it will grow/develop any more.
