Your daily cat and kitten news

A friend came over to drop some stuff off yesterday. Her naughty tween was with her and while we were having coffee, Naughty Tween couldn’t wait to try out the Manic Panic hair dye she’d just bought in Brixton.

Cat scarpered so I didn’t realise til he came home later. There was quite a lot of distraction while my friend dealt with the tween (who was covered in dye herself) and I dealt with the bathroom.

Cat seems unfazed.

Big weekend for t'lads, they were allowed out for the first time. Didn't like it much, apart from eating a leaf off every plant. I thought they'd be clamouring for more, but they seem to prefer looking at Outside through the window. They've also eaten a rouble note I've had since the 80s.

:)

I can't remember now whether you're new to this cat thing, so i am quite probably stating the obvious, but if they are going to be semi outdoor cats with a taste for the occasional bit of salad, may be worth giving the garden a once-over to make sure there's nothing growing that's lethal to kittehs. (and posting here in case it's of potential use to anyone else.)

cats protection to house / garden plants that don't mix well with cats here.

Over 30 years (god help me!) tells me that whatever I do in my garden won't stop them eating everyone else's plants, so I just need to keep an eye out for them looking unwell! But thanks, useful list.

This is Spud...

Spud has always given the best cupboard love, which is cute and endearing, but Spud has now progressed to swiping the last piece of ham and cheese toastie from your hand.
Don't be like Spud.

Old BD again - you never laid down or took your eyes off a bacon roll anywhere near him, or near any window he might be waiting out side of. He'd be straight-in to get the bacon out of it.

And yes, if he couldn't get the whole thing, he had to get a little bit if you were eating and would assert this requirement, firmly..!

Just got up for a pee and as I came back to bed Cat jumped up to join me. He was purring and I thought he was going to settle down to sleep. But as I started to lay down he stopped purring, shot me a look, leapt over me, and off the bed. I called to invite him back and he paused for a minute, considering. When I turned off the light he stomped off and out the cat flap, slamming it behind him. I’m guessing he wanted a midnight snack, and not a cuddle.

When they have a point to make, they sure can make a lot of noise on those paddy paws.

Bless moose , they are sooo cute!

I noticed the other day that Jocky has a new weird patch of shortened hair on his right 'thigh'. Looks exactly like he'd been shaved for an op a month ago. He hasn't obv. I was puzzled, and worried it might be mange or him over-grooming, but then I happened to be by the cat flap as he slunk out of it. His right leg is the last limb to come through it, and he doesn't lift it, he slinks through and it rubs against the frame! So THAT'S it!
